I'm counting down the days...

...till I can get the fuck out of this place!

True story. I can't wait to leave Vienna behind again. Even if it's just a month since my last bigger trip to London I'm so sick of this city again. It seems like everything just drags me down these days. Everything's a reminder of failure. All I can find in these streets is regret. But soon I'll leave everything behind for at least a while. In 3 days I'm off to Greenland with my buddy Martin for 2 weeks of hiking, camping and just enjoying mother nature.

This summer should be a good one: Right after I come home from Greenland I'll drive to the ever-amazing Fluff Fest. It's going to be the 6th time in a row that I'm attending it. There I'm going to see A LOT of friends from all over Europe. Be it Germany or even Sweden...they're all gonna be there. The week after, Laura, a good friend of mine from Belgium will visit me in Vienna and then I'm off again to Israel with my girl Stefanie. By the end of August my cousin will finally visit me in Vienna and then we're driving to the newly built house of his parents at the lovely Attersee. In September I'll hopefully get a visit from a close friend of mine who I haven't seen in a long long time. This is the plan So you could say: Good times ahead!

But for now:

Grasping At Shadows I

Vienna, Spring 2010.

Life is HUGE!

It's been a while. It's not that I've been lazy, it's exactly the opposite that kept me from updating this blog more often. I've been sooo damn busy the last few weeks that I hardly found time for myself, let alone this little blog. Here's a quit run down of what's happening in my life right now:

It all began after my return from my trip with my Lucca to Amsterdam. The next week I had my first project for my new job: I'm organising tours for schoolclasses from the other parts of Austria in Vienna and guide them through my city right now. My first project was a group of 50 thirteen year olds and it was a total blast. I had such an awesome time with them as they were the cutes group of kids I could've wished for. Also their teachers were really cool, buying me beers all the time. It was a pretty exhausting week with them but they also gave me so much energy back. I love work that doesn't feel like work.

That weekend me and some friends also started what should become a bench mark in our week now: Every sunday me and my boys meet up to play football at the park. Good times, even if I have to puke almost every time. I'm not in a good shape...

On Whit Monday Patrick, Gürth and I went to Munich to see Against Me! We were really looking forward to that show cause it was in a really small location. But Against Me! kinda sucked...sad but true. But the trip was totally worth it as we spend the whole afternoon in different Beergardens testing bavarian beers. Plus the weather was plain awesome.

The following friday a flew to London for the last Diry Money show. Honestly they weren't the reason I went there. The real reason was that Down & Outs were playing and that Justice did an reunion. Both bands were the highlights of the show for me with D&O busin' out 2 Minor Threat covers, a Rancid cover and a Cock Sparrer cover and Justis playing their whole Demo + 7"! But what made my trip was meeting Alex Sim-Wise of FRONT magazine at some Pub and touching her tits!
The trip to London was attended by something like 15 guys and girls from Vienna, so massive hang outs were delivered as well.

After returning from London it was about time that I visited my family in Tyrol again which was great. I love my grandparents and I love partying with my cousin.

Before I went home to Vienna again i made a shot stop in Munich again for Dear Landlord. The afternoon was spend stroling around in the city with Paulo which was cool too.

During the last few weeks I also went to a lot of shows. Here's run down in chronological order: Caspian, KISS, God is an Astronaut, Against Me!, Deal With It, Down & Outs, Death is not Glamorous, Justice, William Fitzsimmons and Dear Landlord.

And now I'm sitting here. Summer finally came to Vienna and I have my next schoolclass with me these days. In a few weeks I'll fly to Greenland with my man Martin and tomorrow I'll meet up with Stefanie for some pool swimming, grilling and planing our trip to Israel this August. So it should be a great summer. Hope I'll find the time to update this more often. Expect a few picture updates pretty soon.

take care,

P.
